Events and advantages for members

The Scandinavian Jussi Björling Society arranges meetings
related to Jussi Björling and promotes the art of singing in
his spirit. At these meetings we have as guests many of
Jussi's singer colleagues. We also try to inform the
members about the music and opera life during Björling's
career and today. We publish an illustrated newsletter
twice a year and news bulletins. Members outside
the Scandinavian countries will get a summary in English
of the newsletters.

The annual membership fee is SEK 200 for singles
and SEK 250 for families.The Scandinavian Jussi Björling Society
cooperates with Björling societies in Great Britain and USA
and also with The Jussi Björling Museum in Borlänge, through
which the members can buy records, videos and books at
reduced prize. Lists of items for sale are continuously
published for the members.

In Stockholm we co-operate with The Royal Opera and
Folkoperan and their friend-societies. This co-operation has
resulted in several great memorial concerts
1997, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2003
