Jussi Björling Conference in Chicago 2021

The Conference is postponed to April 2022

Our sibling society, the Jussi Björling Society-USA, will organize a Jussi conference in Chicago April 8-10, 2021. Note it in the calendar right now, it seems to be pure dream trip!

Invited speakers include Stephen Hastings, Andrew Farkas, Harald Henrysson, Nils-Göran Olve, Henry Fogel, Conrad Osborne, Fred Plotkin and representatives of the Chicago Tribune, and of course the Lyric Opera, among others. Walter Rudolph will serve as master of ceremonies. Anders, Lars and Ann-Charlotte Björling are invited guests, as well as honorary advisory board member Javier Camarena, also a tenor.

The venue will be the 9th floor club in the Symphony Center. You can see it at the following link; choose virtual tour, 9th floor.

They reserve group rooms, which are discounted, in a comfortable hotel and will also book tickets for a Chicago Symphony Concert and a concert with tenor Javier Camarena. It should be a wonderful, musical weekend to celebrate Jussi!

If the conference cannot be held due to the pandemic, the fee paid will be refunded or transferred to a postponed conference.

In the latest Newsletter from Jussi Björling Society-USA you can read more about the conference.

You register and pay by filling in the registration form and sending in a check. But the easiest way for us is to choose the digital alternative by going to www.jussibjorlingsociety.org and there both sign up and pay.
